FRISKE Privacy Policy
Version: 22 September 2026. FRISKE is an adults-only dating and social app operated by Brett, its independent developer in Australia. This notice explains how FRISKE handles information. Contact getfriske@gmail.com about privacy, access, correction or deletion.
Information you provide
We process your email address, authentication information, date of birth and policy-acceptance timestamps. Your date of birth establishes adult eligibility; the app may show your age rather than your birth date. Email verification is not proof of identity or an independent age check.
Your profile includes your first name, gender, dating intentions and preferences, locality, region, country, biography and selected photos. Dog owners provide core dog information. Optional information may include occupation, interests, profile prompts, lifestyle preferences and further dog details. Dating preferences and messages can reveal sensitive personal information. Do not provide information you do not want processed for the described purposes, or another person's private information without permission.
Activity and communications
We store Likes, Matches, conversations, messages and read markers; Walk invitations, locations, styles and times; QR-based attendance; private post-Walk answers and snoozes; and Walk Again responses. A QR check-in is recorded only after the confirmation action, not merely by opening the camera. Post-Walk answers are private individual responses, separate from QR attendance and Walk Again. The system can use permitted outcomes to update Walk status without displaying another participant's private answer.
We also process Blocks, reports and report details, moderation decisions, anti-abuse rate records, deletion requests and operational records. Information you send to support is processed to handle your request.
Location, camera and photos
FRISKE uses locality and country information you enter and the meeting place selected for a Walk. It does not collect device GPS or continuous live location through the current app. A selected Walk Spot is not live tracking. Camera permission supports scanning Walk QR codes. Selected profile photos are uploaded to private storage; selecting them is different from granting access to an entire photo library. FRISKE does not upload a continuous camera feed for QR scanning.
On Android, FRISKE uses Google Maps to preview the selected public Walk Spot meeting location. The displayed coordinates belong to that public place, not your GPS position. This feature does not request precise, coarse or background location permission. Google Maps may process device and request information, IP addresses, SDK identifiers and diagnostic information to provide, maintain and improve its services, as described in Google's Maps SDK data disclosure and the Google Privacy Policy. Not requesting GPS permission does not mean Google processes no information. Selecting “Open in Maps” passes the selected public meeting location to an external maps application or service, whose terms and privacy practices apply.
Why we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, maintain profiles and preferences, help eligible adults connect, support messaging and Walk coordination, record your choices, deliver requested notifications, enforce safety restrictions, respond to requests and operate and secure the service. We do not currently offer paid subscriptions or advertising features.
What other people can see
Eligible members may see the profile information that FRISKE presents to them, subject to access and safety restrictions. Matched partners can see shared conversations and Walk arrangements. People Here is based on actual QR attendance and shows the eligible checked-in Walk partner; it is not a public list of everyone at a venue. Private dating filters, reports, moderation records and individual post-Walk answers are not exposed as public profiles. Please remember that a recipient may save or screenshot information you share.
Profile-photo storage remains private. Only approved profile photos may be delivered to authorised FRISKE members, with access checked against the relevant relationship and access rules. Delivery uses short-lived links, currently valid for approximately 60 seconds. A Block, Unmatch, or moderation or account restriction prevents new photo-access grants where the relevant rules withdraw access. An already-issued link may remain usable until it expires, and a download already in progress may finish. FRISKE cannot recall images already displayed, downloaded or screenshotted.
Service providers and international processing
Supabase provides authentication, database and private photo storage, with email verification/recovery delivered through the email infrastructure configured for that service. Expo and Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging support Android push notifications when enabled; Apple notification infrastructure is relevant to supported iOS delivery. Notification infrastructure processes installation identifiers, delivery tokens, platform, possession challenges, preferences, events and delivery outcomes. Notification content is deliberately limited, but may appear on a device's lock screen.
Support email is handled through Gmail. Hosting and infrastructure providers process network and operational information, including information needed to deliver and protect the service. Depending on the provider and hosting configuration, processing may occur outside Australia. Contact us for current provider and location information. FRISKE does not claim that no third parties process your information.
Security
FRISKE uses authenticated access, database access controls, private media storage and encrypted network connections. Messages are stored on the backend and are not end-to-end encrypted. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not share account passwords or verification codes. Report suspected account misuse to our contact address.
Retention and account deletion
While your account exists, we retain information needed to provide the service and handle safety matters. You can request deletion in Settings or at getfriske.com/delete-account. An in-app request immediately hides and restricts your account; final erasure is processed separately. Verified email requests require an operator to apply that restriction. We aim to process verified requests within 30 days and will explain a delay where appropriate.
Processing removes the account, profile, preferences, dog details, private photo files, authentication identity, notification registrations and related social and Walk data. Shared conversations and Walk records involving the deleted account may also be removed from the other participant's view. It cannot erase copies already saved by another person or notifications already delivered.
Existing safety reports and moderation records may be retained under restricted access for up to 90 days after deletion processing for complaint handling, abuse investigation and security. These records can contain personal information in free text even after account links are removed. A documented legal or active safety hold may extend retention to a specified review date; we retain only what is necessary for that purpose. A minimal deletion receipt without an account identifier is retained for up to 90 days. Provider logs, email correspondence, backups and already-issued media links have separate limited lifetimes; these are not erased instantly. We do not use retained safety information to keep your dating profile active. Contact us for the applicable retention details or to raise a concern.
Your choices and rights
You can edit supported profile fields and preferences, manage notification permissions, Block or report members, and request access, correction or deletion. For a request requiring verification, we seek only proportionate evidence of account ownership; we never ask for your password or one-time sign-in code. We may need to retain or withhold particular information to protect another person or meet legal obligations, and will explain where appropriate.
If you have an Australian privacy concern, contact us first so we can investigate. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where its jurisdiction applies. This notice does not limit rights under applicable law.
Changes
We will publish material changes here with an updated version date and provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
